ASOI 2017 Conference:

ASOI are delighted to announce our 2017 Annual Conference. This year our focus is on Childhood Obesity and, in collaboration with the Health Behaviour Change Research Group at NUI Galway, and University College Cork, we have an expanded program over two days with over 15 keynote speakers from 7 different countries. The conference will be opened on Day 1 by the Minister of State for Health Promotion, Marcella Corcoran Kennedy TD.

Day 1 of ASOI 2017 will focus on prevention of childhood obesity, and integral to the day we are holding roundtable discussion workshops as part of a study to identify and prioritise knowledge gaps concerning obesity prevention and knowledge translation. We hope all attending will consent to involvement in these workshops, allowing us to harness the collective expertise of a diverse range of participants to set out directions for future research and knowledge translation.
